Preceptors are typically practicing, licensed pharmacists who play a vital role in the education of our pharmacy students, but they are so much more than teachers.
Successful preceptors facilitate a learning experience in which students take greater responsibility for their own learning, develop trusting relationships, foster respect, cultivate professionalism, promote cultural sensitivity and encourage learning.
Benefits of Precepting
We appreciate the time and enthusiasm our preceptors show when teaching our students.
As a preceptor, you will receive:
- Access to continuing education, including preceptor development through the Office of Professional
- Development and CEI, at a reduced or no cost
- Adjunct faculty appointment
- Access to library resources at the College
