Ceremony Admission

To be admitted to the White Coat Ceremony, guests must present a wristband. The wristband will also allow guests to gain access to ceremony parking and the event. All wristbands are general admission for seating.

Getting a Wristband

Guest and families will receive wristbands from their student. Students will receive an email notification that wristbands are available and may pick them up in the Recreation and Student Center from Kilinyaa Cothran, director of professional student affairs.

Further information regarding wristbands will be announced at a later date.

Seating Options

The White Coat Ceremony is held in the Quad. All seating is general admission.

Alternate seating options will be provided for guests who may need more flexible seating or need to sit indoors due to heat or other reasons. The ceremony will be streamed live in the alternate seating location. Further information regarding the alternate seating option will be sent to students closer to the event.

Accessibility

The Office of Public Safety will be on campus during the White Coat Ceremony to provide assistance to guests in need of special accommodations. If a wheelchair is needed for transportation from parking to the ceremony, please park in the Children's Place Garage.

Parking Accommodations

Handicap parking stalls are available on the first floor of the Children's Place Garage and third floor of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Euclid Garage. No parking passes are needed for the Children's Place Garage, but if you park in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Euclid Garage then you will need to pick up a validation ticket during the White Coat Ceremony reception at one of the welcome tables.

ADA Seating

While there is no set ADA seating in the Quad for the ceremony, the seating is very flexible and seats can be moved to accomodate those with ADA needs. If you require assistance with either getting to or leaving from the ceremony seating area, please stop in the Security Base Station (glass office on main level of the Children's Place Garage) or call 314.446.7233.

There will also be a seating area for guests who are deaf. An interpreter will be signing throughout the ceremony. Please follow event signage to locate this section.
