The College has moved to online instruction for the remainder of the semester Learn more about our ongoing COVID-19 response
The College encourages students, faculty, staff and the local community to engage in safe medication use practices. Prescription and over-the-counter medications should be used, stored and disposed of properly to help stop prescription misuse and prevent harm to the environment.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) hosted a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event to give residents the opportunity to drop off their unwanted or expired prescriptions at a variety of neighborhood collection sites. To locate a collection site near you, visit takebackday.dea.gov.
Instead of disposing of expired or unused drugs in hazardous locations, such as the trash (where children or pets can access them) or the toilet (where medications can leach into the water supply), there are dozens of locations throughout the region for the safe disposal of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
