Diabetes Medication CE and Breakfast

Join Anastasia Armbruster, Pharm.D. ’09, AACC, BCPS, BCCP, associate professor of pharmacy practice, for a one-hour continuing education program titled “Diabetes medications that treat heart disease too: An update.” The program will review current literature regarding the benefit of diabetes medications in patients with cardiovascular disease. Pharmacists in attendance can earn one credit hour for participating.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Summarize the cardiovascular benefits of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor antagonists
- Discuss current guideline recommendations regarding management of diabetes in patients with cardiovascular disease.
Time: 7:30 a.m. Check-in and Breakfast; 8-9 a.m. CE Program

Cost: $13, includes beverage and choice of breakfast entree
