On Saturday, Sept. 21, 411 student pharmacists and 14 faculty and staff volunteered at 48 different sites around the St. Louis area as part of STLCOP Community Awareness Reaching Everyone in St. Louis (C.A.R.E.S.)-The Prescription for Progress.

It was the largest STLCOP C.A.R.E.S. program ever.

Participants volunteered at pharmacies, assisted living facilities, Gateway Greening gardening sites, Forest Park, KidSmart, Operation Brightside, and Habitat for Humanity. The day was organized by the Student Pharmacists Association (SPA).

“STLCOP C.A.R.E.S. has continued to grow and change to meet the dynamic needs of our student body and St. Louis residents, while continuing to embrace the original spirit and tenor of the day—Community Awareness Reaching Everyone in St. Louis,” says SPA Outreach Coordinator Julie McGinley ’15.
