St. Louis College of Pharmacy Adds Three New Board MembersST. LOUIS – St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP) has appointed Kevin Colgan, Ann Marr and James M. Sanger to its Board of Trustees. They join 20 other trustees who govern the College and ensure that STLCOP provides a quality education to its students and remains an important contributor to the overall quality of health care in the St. Louis region. Colgan, a 1977 STLCOP graduate, is corporate director of pharmacy at Rush University Medical center in Chicago. He has more than 20 years of experience in clinical research and pharmacy practice management in hospital, home care, and retail settings. He is also past president of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), which represents 35,000 pharmacists working in hospitals and health systems across the United States and internationally. In 2007, he was named an ASHP fellow. Colgan earned a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Illinois. He is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois–Chicago College of Pharmacy. Marr serves as vice president of human resources at World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) and president of the WWT Foundation. She oversees all human resources functions, which include talent management, policy development, benefits administration, training, leadership development and employee relations. She also manages diversity programs. Marr has more than 20 years of human resources experience, having worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Anheuser-Busch Companies. She is on the advisory board of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) and member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Marr is active in the St. Louis community by serving on the board of the St. Louis Minority Business Council, Focus St. Louis, the Urban League of Greater St. Louis, St. Louis Women’s Forum and the Shakespeare Festival. She received a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Webster University. Sanger serves as regional president/system vice president for SSM Health Care–St. Louis. He oversees the mission, vision and strategic focus for six hospitals, 2,000 physicians, more than 11,000 employees, and a revenue base exceeding $1 billion. Before joining SSM Health Care–St. Louis in 1997, he served as the first president/CEO of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan, Inc., a joint operating agreement in Southern Illinois between SSM Health Care and Chicago-based Felician Services Inc. From 1992 until 1997, Sanger was senior vice president of administrative services for Legacy Health System in Portland, Ore. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Adelphi University and master’s degree in hospital pharmacy from Purdue University. His undergraduate degree in pharmacy is from Creighton University. About St. Louis College of Pharmacy: Founded in 1864, St. Louis College of Pharmacy is one of the oldest and largest colleges of pharmacy in the nation. The College admits students directly from high school and integrates the liberal arts and sciences with a six-year professional curriculum leading to the doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
