Media Advisory: St. Louis College of Pharmacy Hosts Boo Fest at Pumpkin Park
What: Boo Fest at Pumpkin Park, a safe Halloween event for area children with diabetes
When: Sunday, Oct. 25 (3 to 6 p.m.)
Where: St. Louis College of Pharmacy, 4588 Parkview Place. The event will be held on the Quad. The College’s gymnasium has been selected as an alternate location if it rains. A campus map is available at: http://www.stlcop.edu/contact/mapdirections.asp
About this Event: The College has partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Saint Louis Science center to create a safe Halloween event for St. Louis-area children with diabetes. More than 150 kids in costumes will participate. STLCOP students will provide education information to kids and parents while also presenting fun activities in a carnival-like atmosphere. Activities include the Science Center’s “Creepy Chemistry Lab,” a costume contest, bounce house, face painting and temporary tattoos, and sugar-free snow cones.
About St. Louis College of Pharmacy: Founded in 1864, St. Louis College of Pharmacy is one of the oldest and largest colleges of pharmacy in America.
