Notes From the Registrar: Commencement 2012

Graduation rehearsal will be in Whelpley Auditorium on Wednesday, May 16th. We will begin promptly at 3 p.m. and will finish by 4:15 p.m.

The Champaign Celebration and Graduation Awards Ceremony immediately follows the rehearsal outside on the quad (awards ceremony to begin at approximately 6 p.m.).  Please watch for additional information from the advancement office.

Commencement begins promptly at 7:30 p.m. Graduates must be in the gowning area by 6:30 p.m. Please allow ample time for parking

Graduates expecting guests at the ceremony who will require special seating must e-mail Mary Kathryn (Kitty) Sims at msims@stlcop.edu by May 9. These individuals must have the admission wristband in addition to a special seating ticket. A maximum of 4 tickets is available for this area.

Commencement photos will be taken by Kabance Photo Services, Inc. Proofs will be mailed to you approximately two weeks following graduation. Click here for online access. 

Special Note:
Admission tickets will be in the form of a wristband. Each graduate will be issued 14 wristbands (13 for guests and one for the graduate) at Commencement rehearsal. Guests and graduates will be expected to wear a wristband at the ceremony.

Note: We are at capacity for Powell Hall. If you have wristbands that you won’t be using, please make them available to other students who may have more family members than allotted wristbands.
