Announcements
How many announcements will I receive?
Each graduate will receive 25 personalized announcements free.
Please don’t confuse the number of announcements with the number of tickets (wristbands) that will be issued.

When the announcements arrive at the College, will they be automatically mailed to my home?
No, they will not be mailed to your home. Watch your e-mail for a notice when the announcements will be available for pick up in the Enrollment Services Department (first floor Jones Hall).

Is it possible to purchase extra announcements?
Yes, you may go to the Herff-Jones Web site and order them. You will need a major credit card.

Diploma
What are the diploma dimensions?
8 ½ x 11 inches.

Should I include my middle name on the diploma?
This is up to you.

Fees
What is the fee for the cap, gown, announcements, and diploma?
A commencement fee was included in your fall bill. This fee takes care of your cap, gown, diploma, and 25 announcements.

Gown
Which gown should I order, the doctorate or master’s gown?
Doctorate

Where do I pick up my cap, gown, and hood?
Cap, gown, hood, wristband, and board application distribution - May 14-16(Monday through Wednesday) in the Enrollment Services office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Miscellaneous
Is it a requirement that I participate in the ceremony?
Yes, unless the Registrar’s Office has written permission from the Dean of the College.

How many tickets (wristbands) will I receive?
Each graduate will receive 13 guest wristbands and 1 graduate wristband.

Will my child need a wristband?
Children ages 2 and up will need a wristband to attend the commencement ceremony. Children under the age of 2 must sit on someone’s lap during the ceremony.

What is the cumulative grade point average needed to receive honors?
3.20 - 3.49 Cum Laude (with honors)
3.50 - 3.69 Magna cum lade (with high honors)
3.70 - 4.00 Summa cum lade (with highest honors)
