Forest Laboratories / Medical Information Communication Associate
 
Description The Medical Information and Communication Associate MICA is responsible for responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals consumers and internal employees by providing accurate and balanced information in a timely and authoritative manner consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines. In addition the MICA is expected to conduct thorough literature searches and evaluate and summarize published literature. The MICA is expected to be comfortable preparing and presenting professional educational presentations regarding Forest products and associated diseases. II. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide accurate and balanced information in a timely and authoritative manner consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines when responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers. 2. Prepare and deliver professional educational presentations on Forest products and related disease states to a variety of internal and external clients. 3. Prepare update and review written documents ensuring content is clearly organized and uses proper sentence construction punctuation and grammar. 4. Provide support to internal departments including but not limited to Medical Affairs Drug Safety and Surveillance Regulatory Affairs Marketing Sales and Sales Training. 5. Maintain professional expertise on Forest products competitor products and related disease states. Maintain familiarity with medical information resources. 6. Make appropriate decisions during management absence. 7. Effectively work and communicate within a team setting to achieve predetermined goals. 8. Adapt to changes in the marketplace and to changes in company- and department-driven initiatives. 9. Assist with departmental projects as needed. 10. Be willing to travel via airplane to the New York and New Jersey corporate offices and to other distant locations for corporate meetings training and conventions as required. 11. Employee conduct must be consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Requirements Education: Pharm.D. or BS Pharm. Experience: Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in a university or hospital-based setting in which medical information / communication activities were primary responsibilities or equivalent experience. Experience in communicating with healthcare professionals and with patients regarding drug therapy. Experience in responding to medical information inquiries using product labeling and drug information resources. Experience conducting thorough searches of the medical literature. Experience in writing scientifically rigorous documents using proper sentence construction punctuation and grammar. Experience in preparing and delivering professional educational presentations to varying audiences.
