Alumni, parents and health care professionals from the Chicago area are invited to join us for a thought-provoking evening featuring members of the College’s distinguished faculty who will share their knowledge and research in intriguing, 12-minute presentations, comprehensible for all audience members. Following the presentations, enjoy refreshments with the faculty presenters and College leadership.

Topics will include:

"Across 110th Street: History of Psychiatry and Racial Liberalism in Harlem, 1936-1968," presented by Dennis Doyle, Ph.D., assistant professor of history. Doyle will explain how health care institutions throughout history have promoted racial inclusion and diversity within their workspaces.

"Overcoming Global Health Disparities: A South African Case Study," presented by Stephanie Lukas, Pharm. D., MPH, assistant director of the Office of International Programs and assistant professor of pharmacy administration. Lukas will share her research on the role pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play in reducing the global burden of disease.

"Every Dose Matters: Combating Antibiotic Resistance," presented by Scott Micek, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, associate professor of pharmacy practice. Micek will share his research to determine whether increased antibiotic exposure is associated with increased likelihood for the development of new antibiotic resistance.
