Academic Support

As a student at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, academic support is easily accessible to you, whether a question, a click or a phone call away.

O.J. Cloughly Alumni Library

The O.J. Cloughly Alumni Library, located on the first floor of Jones Hall, is a great academic resource. Not only does the library offer many educational resources, including subject databases, print and electronic books and journals, magazines, newspapers, and audiovisual materials, but it also provides a quiet, comfortable environment where you can read and study.

The online portion of the library gives you the opportunity to explore what the library has to offer, with access to databases, e-books, electronic journals, and interlibrary loan requests.

Norton Writing Center

The Norton Writing Center is a free tutoring service that offers one-on-one assistance from trained students with all types of writing during all stages; it is neither editing nor proofreading, but tutoring. The center also has handouts on grammar, punctuation and usage.

Not sure about your resume? The center holds workshops on resumes and cover letters, essay-test writing, and other writing topics.

Disability Services

Disability Services, or the ADA Program, is coordinated by Rebecca Jones, the associate director of academic support. She serves as the liaison between students, faculty, and administration, advocating fair and reasonable student accommodations. Examples of support include, but are not limited to, extended test times and separate testing environments.

Mentoring

The Alumni Mentoring Program brings together members of the Student Alumni Association and alumni to help you gain the best understanding of today's pharmacy career options and best prepare in order to succeed in them. To participate in the program, you must fill out an interest form. The Office of Advancement will then pair you up with an alumnus based on interests and experience.

Copy Center

At the Copy Center, located at 1372 Jones, you can go far beyond a simple copy to create posters, banners, and brochures. If you need help with design, staff is available to assist. Coin-operated copy machines for small jobs are in various locations across campus.

Information Technology

From computer support to database management to instructional media development, our IT professionals assist with a wide range of technology needs. For direct assistance, just contact the IT Help Desk at ext. 5555. The Help Desk is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.
